| The Yellow House is a large, 1890s-era home in the Western Catskills. It's a great old house that welcomes you with select antique furnishings and original paneling that preserves the ambience of the past, but the Yellow House is neither stuffy nor cute. It invites guests, as we do, to relax and unwind in a tasteful atmosphere of authentic country comfort. | |||||||
| There are 4 spacious guest rooms, 1 double, 3 queen (one queen room also has daybed plus trundle) private bath for each room (one with giant claw-foot tub). | |||||||
| A full breakfast is served at a long communal table in our central dining room. But other options are possible. In summer, you may prefer the east porch overlooking the garden, or dining in the shade of our vine-covered pergola. | |||||||
| Guests are free to enjoy several public areas, including the main living room and our Arts & Crafts media-room/parlor with video/DVD collections (also games). | |||||||
| In good weather, we suggest you relax in the yard on a chaise longue or Adirondack chair, stroll the grounds, read or chat on a porch or in the pergola. Alternatively, take a walk to the beach on the Beaverkill River -- renowned as a trout stream, but also great for skipping rocks, sunning and beach play. | |||||||
